In 2010, Mark established Green Building Legal Consultation, a consultancy offering legal advice on federal, state and municipal laws governing residential and commercial green building practices and sustainable design. He is a LEED Green Associate and Certified Green Building Professional.
Mark has expertise in construction law, real estate contracts and disputes, general business law, and insurance defense of commercial and personal lines claims. He is a former Deputy County Counsel for the Office of the County Counsel Alameda County, was a partner in the law firm of McNamara, Ney, Beatty, Slattery, Borges & Ambacher LLP, and a managing partner and senior trial attorney for the law offices of Haskell and Goodman.
Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation and Natural Resources with an emphasis in environmental law from the University of California Berkeley. He earned his Juris Doctor from John F. Kennedy University School of Law where he has taught classes in Construction Law and Environmental Law with an emphasis on green building law and regulation.
